Clicking on the Edit Server List tab will open a panel
to add networks and servers
where the arrow indicates, click add new network, when
the new computer shaped icon apprears, rename it 'CoolChat'
After creating the new network, click on the computer
icon again to highlight it, then click on the 'add new server'
tab. When this panel opens, type in what you see
here. Address: irc.coolchat.net.... Ports: 6667 Then close
out
all the boxes and panels open and go back to your login
page.
Back on the login page, click login and the connect panel
opens again, with Coolchat now showing in the
IRC Network slot. Type whatever you choose in the 'Name'
slot... Type your main nic in the 'Nickname'
slot. You can either choose an alternate nick to type
in or leave as is. Click the 'Connect' button.
After you've connected to CoolChat you'll see this page.
This is your status page.
Click on the 'Favorites' tab shown marked. This will
open an new panel where you add or delete
different channels (rooms).
There are a few simple steps to adding a room...
#1 at the top is the Favorites tab you clicked
on
#2 click on and open the 'favorites' folder on
the left side of this panel
#3. click on the 'add channel' button, or right
click your mouse somewhere inside
the white area of the right side of the panel, to bring
the 'Server Properties' box up.
type in the name of the room you want to add, making
sure you use the # key in front
When you next login to CoolChat, it's very easy to join
#parenting-grandparents
When you get to your status page, showing you are connected
to CoolChat follow these
simple steps and you'll be there in no time!
#1 . Click the 'favorites' tab at the top of the
status page
#2. double click the yellow 'favorites'
folder inside the 'Favorite Places' box
#3.. Click to highlight '#parenting-grandparents'
#4 Click the 'join' button...and walla!! you're
there!!
